Joel began his career in the independent film community within Northern Alberta in 2006. Over the next decade , he worked as an Assistant Director on several feature-length films including 'Gone by Dawn 2', 'John, 316', and 'Give and Take'.
In 2018, he moved to his home province of British Columbia to pursue work in the film and television industry in Vancouver. Since moving, he has worked on several different film and television projects including 'Virgin River', 'Motherland', 'Resident Alien', 'Easter Sunday', and 'Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem'.
Juggling both union and non-union work, Joel continues to develop well-rounded film and production skills, with a focus on logistics, implementation, and a rigorous attention to detail.
